Program Overview
Interviews are nothing more than a compatibility test as to whether a candidate can fit in and thrive at a school or organization. Although a formal rite of passage, interviews are an obstacle to many, often barring bright minds from the acceptance and opportunity they deserve. Ambitious students will face no shortage of interviews in their educational and occupational careers, so it’s best to develop a foundational and practiced understanding of how to present as the right candidate, regardless of the position or interviewer.
Our learning objectives are chosen to address the pain points and problem areas in interviews. Beginning with conversationality, students will first learn to present themselves authentically and abstain from the robotic and monotonous demeanour often used to seem professional. They will then learn to accentuate their positive traits and discuss their pivotal experiences in a tacit and understated fashion. After learning to address negative questions with positive sentiment, students will master demonstrating moral sophistication when asked hypothetical decision-making questions. They will then develop an approach to answering challenging and unconventional questions - some of which have no correct response.
